Most intriguing of this selection is Across the Obelisk, as it only launched on Xbox Series X/S on 6 November.
It’s a “co-op roguelite deckbuilder” that’s a proven hit on Steam already, with an average score of 9/10 from its players.

Another highly rated game that’s part of Xbox Free Play Days is Astroneer.
Explore space and forge your way forward in a colourful universe. Build bases, “uncover the mysteries of the universe”, and maybe take some friends along for the journey.
Microsoft is continuing with the bangers by offering its players a three hour trial of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising.
Described as a “phenomenally charming game”, you’ll discover an action-packed RPG filled with lore.

If you’re an avid adventurer with a love for many side quests, this is a must play this weekend.
Finally, we come to the fourth and final free game of this collection: Train Sim World 5.
Some gamers may not think this game interesting, but its realism and attention to detail is sure to please train enthusiasts.
“TSW5 combines the excitement of driving trains with the child-like desire to climb on things,” praised one user.

Not to rely on an old cliche, but there’s really something for everyone here.
If you’re an Ultimate Pass member, you might not be as taken with this selection; especially Train Sim World 5, as that’s already available via your subscription tier.
Nonetheless, the other three freebies should keep you busy.
Even if you only play Astroneer, to fully complete the game can take up to 80 hours. It’s not like you’re going to be short of entertainment this weekend...!
