Xbox users can play four titles, free of charge, for the next two days via the usual Free Play Days event.
This is a great opportunity to try some titles you might have never considered purchasing, either due to lack of interest or just because games are expensive nowadays, best to save your money for something you actually want right? Especially if you don’t have an Xbox Game Pass.
I’m sure plenty of Nintendo fans will be saving up right now for the new Nintendo Switch 2, maybe even the bundle that contains Mario Kart World…
This weekend you’ll be able to play the following four titles: Age of Wonders 4, Catan: Console Edition, Dead by Daylight and Everspace 2

There’s some good variation here, plenty of different gameplay styles and general presentations, I’ve only played Dead by Daylight so naturally I’m going to recommend that one.
If you haven’t played it before, Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer survival game where four players have to survive a fifth player’s murderous hunting spree. Turning on generators and avoiding being caught or being the one who does the catching is the aim of the game, and it’s good fun with some mates.
That’s not to say the other titles aren’t worth a look either, as I’ve heard great things about Everspace 2 as a singleplayer spaceship game. In this one you can explore the galaxy, take part in daring space battles and more.
Age of Wonders 4 is a bit like Age Of Empires but with more of a focus on combat, worth a look if you like real-time strategy games.

Finally there’s Catan: Console Edition, which looks a bit like the board game Risk and involves taking over land, building up an empire and using your empire to…take over more land.
There’s a good mix of titles here, and you can play them all for free during this weekend only, definitely give some of them a go.
