Xbox gamers can try eight games they probably haven’t played, you don’t have long to play them though so get to it.
Specifically you have around 48 hours, luckily all eight games are largely the same thing so if anything you’re going to be sampling an entire genre rather than multiple AAA action-adventure games.
Speaking of action-adventure, check out the trailer for the upcoming Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii below
Back to the Xbox games though, the gaming company is once again providing a free-to-play weekend, and this time around it has a focus on sport titles.

The full list consists of EA Sports College Football 25, EA Sports FC 25, EA Sports PGA Tour, EA Sports WRC, EA Sports UFC 5, F1 24, Madden NFL 25, and NHL 25. These titles are playable until 19 January.
Now they’re not my cup of tea by any means but for the sport fans out there this seems like a pretty good deal, especially if you like a wide range of sporting activities rather than just football.
There is a slight catch though, as Xbox users interested in giving these titles a go will require a subscription to Xbox Game Pass.
Any tier will do, doesn’t matter if you’ve got Xbox Game Pass Core or Ultimate, but one is needed nonetheless.

For the non-sport fans out there this probably isn’t very exciting, but maybe give them a go anyway and see what you think, one might surprise you after all.
In other Xbox news the big one this week are rumours surrounding more first-party games going to other platforms.
The Halo franchise is the big name here as it’s said Halo: The Master Chief Collection could be crossing over to the PlayStation 5, and possibly even the recently announced Nintendo Switch 2.
At the time of writing nothing is confirmed but given the direction Xbox has been heading recently it wouldn’t be a total shock if it turned out to be true.
