The release of Starfield is less than a couple of weeks away and fans are dying to play Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi RPG.
However, there is one adoring fan who has apparently logged in 200 hours and 15 playthroughs. Who is that fan that has already put in an ungodly amount of hours, I hear you ask? Well, it’s none other than that dastardly Xbox chief, the scandalous Phil Spencer. Shocking, we know! In fact, we know that Spencer has been playing Starfield since at least July this year.
Check out the Starfield story trailer below!
Spencer confirmed his Starfield playthroughs when talking to IGN at Gamescom this week. We know that 200 hours total doesn't seem much for 15 playthroughs for a game of Starfield’s magnitude, but Spencer has had to start the game multiple times over due to it being a still-in-development version with some saves not being compatible with a recent update. Thankfully, he at least now seems happy with his space pirate.

Starfield promises to be Bethesda’s biggest-ever game, not only due to it having the largest city the studio has ever created but also features over 1000 planets and 100 star systems for players to explore. Yikes!
In recent news, Bethesda boss Todd Howard confirmed that Starfield will feature a New Game Plus, meaning that we can carry over progress and stats into a new game. Howard also teased that the New Game Plus will feature a “unique and exciting twist” to “incentivise continued and repeated play”. Elsewhere, Howard has also admitted that The Elder Scrolls VI may have been announced way too soon.
Starfield has a release date of 6 September 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Unless you’ve pre-ordered the Premium or Constellation Edition. If so, then your release date is 1 September. Starfield will also launch on Xbox Game Pass.
