Starfield is so close we can taste it. Insomuch as anyone can taste a game, at least. Early access kicks off 1 September, and fans are already planning their space odysseys, charting brave new paths across the stars.
Bethesda's open-world RPG is definitely one of the most-anticipated titles of the decade, even as PlayStation 5 users are forced to look in stony silence. Since Microsoft went and acquired Bethesda, Starfield will be exclusive to Xbox Series X/S and PC. The good news? You'll still be able to play Starfield on your Xbox One!
Take a look at Starfield in action below:

Starfield is coming exclusively to Xbox Series X/S and PC, but worry not: if you're desperately searching for the cheapest bundles so you can pick up Starfield in time for September, there's no need to bother.
Allow me to direct you to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a higher tier of Xbox Game Pass which gives users the option to stream any game from the Game Pass library on almost any device with a screen, including your Xbox One. You can see where we're going with this, yeah?
After you've subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (£12.99 a month here in the UK), you can access the Game Pass library on your chosen device (it could even be your crappy laptop or a mobile phone). After that, just wait till 6 September. Starfield is a day one launch for Game Pass, so all you need only navigate to it via the Game Pass library and choose the option to stream it directly from your Xbox One.
A key caveat: this method is obviously reliant on a stable internet connection. You can get more details from Xbox on the minimum required speeds for a decent, lag-free time. But if your internet is up to snuff? It's game on, my friend.
