It’s nice to access video games whenever and wherever we can, which is why services such as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are so appealing being able to play our favourite video games at home or on the go via our mobile phones and now, Xbox Game Pass is about to get even more accessible.
As detailed on Amazon.com, Microsoft has made a deal with Amazon to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Stick 4K, meaning that we can play the likes of Startfield, Halo Infinite, Gears 5 and Forza Motorsport via Amazon’s snazzy dongle, think about that for a second.

The Xbox Game Pass and Amazon collaboration will kick off sometime in July with the Fire TV Stick 4K Max costing £69.99/$59.99 and the Fire TV Stick 4K costing £59.99/$49.99. However, looking at those prices, it seems the UK is being mugged by currency conversion.

You will of course need a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to enable cloud gaming, whether it's on your mobile phone or the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. This means that if you’re on holiday and you take your Fire TV Stick 4K with you, as long as you have a stable internet connection, you can play Starfield and more in a caravan without taking your Xbox console with you.
This delivery of playing video games may be taken for granted nowadays. I remember several years back, packing my Xbox or PlayStation consoles with me on holiday. But now, playing our favourite video games is so accessible, at the bare minimum, all we need is a stable connection and a mobile phone.
Playing Xbox Cloud Gaming via the Fire TV Stick 4K is also not only compatible with a Bluetooth-enabled official Xbox controller, but you can also connect your DualSense or DualShock 4, as well as most third-party controllers. What a wonderful time to be a gamer.
