Xbox has swooped in and quietly cancelled two games that were due to be released on 29 May, leaving gamers to rely on other platforms.
It’s not often shared, but each platform has certain rules and regulations in place to ensure audiences don’t see what they shouldn’t, and Xbox has this failsafe, making sure sexy situations don’t arise.
Everything is an Xbox, unless there are sexy scenes involved
So, which games have been cancelled? It appears that Xbox One versions of Steam-Heart’s Saturn Tribute and Advanced Variable Geo Saturn Tribute have been flagged as having inappropriate content.

Both of these games were originally released in the 1990s for PC, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn, and contained erotic content that was seen as controversial at the time.
Now, it seems, it’s still too controversial.
Developer CITY CONNECTION took to Twitter to release a statement noting they have decided to pull the upcoming release, after working with Xbox parameters.
Translated, the statement reads, “Due to the nature of each game being a revival of a work that contains provocative content, we have been developing these titles with the goal of providing a common gaming experience across multiple platforms.”

The developer goes on to say, “While each platform has its own standards, and we have made many adjustments to the content of the game, we have recognized the need to make significant changes to the expression of the game on Xbox.”
The statement ends with an apology to players who were hoping to revisit these classic games.
The titles should still be on track for other platforms - PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch - oddly, Nintendo Switch is still on the cards, which is surprising given Nintendo’s family friendly appeal.
I’ve never played these games, but I’m intrigued as to how spicy these scenes are. It’s not like gaming is a stranger to sex scenes nowadays.
