The Elder Scrolls 6 meets Zelda in divisive new RPG

The Elder Scrolls 6 meets Zelda in divisive new RPG

Where do you stand?

When you envision a game that combines The Elder Scrolls with The Legend Of Zelda you’d expect it to be pretty good right?

One game on Steam called Towers of Aghasba does exactly that, but the reviews would have you believe it’s quite a poor game.

Did you catch the latest news that The Last Of Us Part II Remastered is being upgraded for PS5 Pro?

Launched earlier this month in Early Access, the game’s description reads: “Explore a stunning open-world filled with majestic creatures and quirky characters. Nurture withered lands into vibrant ecosystems and flex your creativity as you build a thriving civilization in balance with nature. Invite friends to co-op multiplayer to craft, harvest, and cozy up together.”

Like The Elder Scrolls you’ll explore the lands looking for quests and treasures, and in gameplay you’ll glide around the map like Link in Zelda: Breath Of The Wild and Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.

Some reviews have been rather positive, like one that describes Towers of Aghasba as “a keeper of a game” going on to say “I was expecting just another generic run of the mill open world survival craft. I was pleasantly surprised to instead find a deep game about balance with a rich lore, cut scenes with thought and care, and an excellent soundtrack.”

Not everyone’s a fan though, as one negative review said it was the “saddest not recommended I have ever had to write” saying “the devs have a vision and love this project, but there are some things that need attention before it is ready for full release.”

One more negative review said “The game is advertised as co-op through description, videos and screenshots, but in fact it's a singleplayer one and you can only have your friends around as guests … Sorry, but that's no co-op.”

If you’re interested I’d suggest checking the game out for yourself to see where you stand, as it’s seemingly quite a divisive one.
