It is almost time for yet another Steam Nest Fest which means that PC gamers will be able to get their hands on hundreds of incredible titles at a discounted price or better yet, completely free.
Kicking off on 24 February and running until 3 March, the Steam Next Fest takes place around three times a year - February, June, and October - and aims to celebrate upcoming games.
The First Descendant was one title featured at 2024's Steam Next Fest event!
“Play what's next, choose from dozens of livestreams to watch, and chat with developers about their games in this week-long celebration,” the official event description reads.

The Steam Next Fest is the perfect way for developers to get their games out there as the event not only celebrates some of the most anticipated games, but also gives a platform to some of the lesser known titles from indie developers.
Alongside heavily discounted games and developer livestreams, players will also be able to get their hands on exclusive demos with many of them offering special promotions for those who choose to wishlist or pre-order certain titles.
As for discounts, the Steam Next Fest also runs alongside the Steam Next Fest Sale, which as you can probably gather, marks a lot of exciting PC games down by a considerable amount.
Although the list of games expected to be featured at February’s event is yet to be announced, we can anticipate an exciting selection if previous Fests are anything to go by.

For example, titles such as Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Supervive, The First Descendant, Throne & Liberty, and Strinova were showcased at 2024’s events and were each highly anticipated releases in their own right.
Until then, Steam is still regularly releasing free demos to get stuck into from dinosaurs to Lovecraftian doctors, roguelikes with an ARPG twist and a horror game that left us truly shaken to the core.
It definitely pays to be a PC gamer.
