Urgh, if only I could spend all my time playing cosy home building games. It’s not fair that I have to work and pay bills when I want to be a cute architect.
I don’t know about anyone else but peak play on The Sims was always to use a money cheat and just while away the hours building nice houses.
Another cosy game on the horizon is Infinity Nikki which will also take over our lives
I did that as a teenager because it was fun, I do it now because who can afford housing?

Imagine my happiness when I discover a new game to play called Small Spaces that lets you design gorgeous interior spaces of little apartments.
The game is all “about turning small apartments into beautifully designed dioramas you'd want to live in. From a simplistic flat in Tokyo to a Victorian town house in San Francisco.”
This is very much my jam, and there’s a demo that’s free to download and play right now.
I’ve got it downloading at the moment so I can spend the evening fantasising about a stable economy where I can actually afford property.

From the look of the screenshots there’s a great deal of customisation - everything from the furniture to the lighting.
It’s great that we’re not limited to one type of room as I like to imagine what it would be like to have a kitchen with all the modern conveniences.
Everything seems so clean and simple. Very tidy and uncluttered. Hopefully this creates a very mindful experience of considering the ideal placement for fixtures and items.
The Steam page showcases several gifs of everything being smoothly put in place, or drop down menus allowing for colour choices, and it’s like visual ASMR to me.

I want this injected into my eyeballs. Actually, scratch that, that doesn’t sound all that relaxing, so I’ll stick to keyboard and mouse when I play later tonight.
