Looking to game on a budget? You’ve come to the right place.
Steam is a treasure trove of free-to-play delights, and I’m here to guide you through the six latest additions as reported by SteamGamesPC.
Let’s begin with Overdrive Warfare, a first-person shooter from solo developer Cody Williams.

Published by Dynamite Games, Overdrive Warfare is set on the once peaceful Pulsar Island.
A former USSR territory, the game will introduce you to several factions all vying for control of the island, including the private military body Pulsar Group.
As with all standard arena shooters, there’s plenty of tough enemies to take down, as well as various weapons and attachments to choose from to find a method that suits your playstyle.
Let’s move onto Ocean Playground from All In Game Co. This one’s a selection of mini-games so is perfect to consume in bite-sized chunks.

Save Crabs, Stone Maze, Electrify are just three of the mini-games available but you’ll have to load up the game to discover the full roster.
One downside to this title is that it does feature some AI generated content, so bear that in mind.

If you enjoy shooters, Battle Grounds III has finally arrived.

“After six years of development, Battle Grounds III is the next iteration in the classic franchise which began 17 years ago. Prepare for battle in the American War of Independence,” reads the synopsis.
The game already boasts a Very Positive review score on Steam. You can choose from 26 period weapons, enjoying 11 classic maps and eight new maps.
If side scrollers are more your thing, then perhaps Myroid-Type Comics’ Millie Megavolte 8 is for you.
“Flash may be dead but Millie's back in this action-packed revival! The Mole King is gearing up for war and made the mistake of annoying Millie. Go berserk and massacre your way through mountains of monsters to shut him up for good,” reads the description.

Mithril Interactive’s Dungeonborne has also launched.
Receiving Mixed reviews from Steam users, this one’s a first-person PvPvE dungeon crawler with extraction gameplay.
Set in an Elder Scrolls-esque world, you’ll come face to face with an array of fearsome fantastical creatures.

Some players have criticised the balancing, but others have praised Dungeonborne for its quick in-and-out raid pacing.
Finally, Fruit: Chain Effect rounds us out.
Developed by Twilight Sonata Studio, this is a link and match puzzle game that’s secured a Mostly Positive rating from reviewers.
“Obtain fruit items by completing levels or through market drops every two hours. Fruits come in Legendary, Rare, High, and Common rarities, with limited drops to maintain balance,” reads the synopsis.
