Steam users can treat themselves to no less than six new free games right now, with no need for any kind of paid subscription or hidden catches.
If you know a thing or two about a thing or two you'll probably be savvy to the fact that Steam is the best place to hit up for free games. Whether you're after some demos to try out, or simply fancy an indie you might not otherwise have played, there's a little something for everyone.
This week there are six new free games to check out. While none of them are exactly AAA bangers, each looks to be a unique experience in its own right. And besides, there's nothing wrong with expanding your horizons!

Without any more editorially mandated filler to get the word count up from me, the six new free games are:
- Boti: Byteland Overclocked - A classic 3D platformer adventure full of jumping, dashing, sliding to the music and more!
- Chasemaster - A perfect blend of adventure, racing, strategy and speed. Chasemaster is all about completing your mission and escaping the city to your agency safely.
- EMERGENCY - Take up your shift as incident commander and coordinate with other players to fight fires, arrest gangsters and rescue injured civilians.
- Zombiflux: Sleepless War - Survival horror with civilization-building elements.
- Waven - Forge your own destiny! Choose your character, equip your best spells and sail from island to island in quest of fortune and glory.
- Planting Trees - Take on the role of a reforestation expert.
There you go. Not a bad bunch. Personally I reckon I'm going to give Waven a go - that looks like a fun time with some really cute visuals. Boti also looks like it could scratch my itch for classic 3D platforming fun, so I'll definitely take a look at that at some point too.
