Steam gamers everywhere can currently end April with six brand-new games, all completely free to download and keep forever.
It's fair to say 2024 has been a pretty busy year for games so far. I know I'm struggling to keep up with everything.
Most of my year has been spent trying to give equal attention to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Dragon's Dogma 2, though

Balatro and Botany Manor have both had a bloody good go at taking my attention away,
If you're craving something new, a bit different, and absolutely free, these six new games available on Steam might be just the ticket. Shall we take a look at them? I think we shall.
- Smelogs Playground - An action-RTS that looks a little bit like a simplified version of League Of Legends.
- Unbreaded - A 3D platformer in which you play as a gingerbread man attempting to escape a kitchen. This one looks really cute.
- Akatori: Сhapter One - A jaw-droppingly beautiful 2D metroidvania. I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one.
- Rent A Car Simulator 24: Prologue - If you've ever dared to dream about the heady world of car rental, this is the game for you.
- Gym Manager: Prologue - Not sure what makes Jim so hard to manage. That's a joke that probably works better when it's not written down. Anyway, "to attract more clients - invest in new equipment, keep the room clean and sabotage your competitors."
- Evil Sinister - If you think the name of this game is bad wait until you see the reviews. I can only imagine rejected titles for this game included Nasty Mean, Naughty Bad, and Not Nice Creepy.
That's your lot for now then. Plenty of interesting new games to check out that might otherwise have flown under the radar, so dig in and enjoy. Or don't. I'm not the boss of you.
