Steam gamers warned they've 48 hours to nab 29 free downloads

29 freebies in 48 hours? Doable

The clock is once again counting down the end to these Steam deals.

Earlier this month, Steam’s Real-Time Strategy Fest started, celebrating games that challenge you to consider every elements when facing your opponent.

Although some may consider this a niche genre, there are actually many titles that fall into this category; some of which may surprise you.

Whether you’re participating in the fest because you love strategy games or you’re curious about the genre, there’s a lot of ways you can get involved.

One of the easiest is via the numerous free demos available.

Check out the trailer for Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew

There are currently 29 free downloads you can choose from, and while these demos won’t suddenly disappear once the fest ends, the heavily discounted price of their corresponding full games will.

This is why, rather ironically, you need to act now and think later.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is one of the games available that you should check out.

This pirate themed experience is described as a “highlight of the stealth strategy genre”, providing “thrilling adventures”.

There’s also a free download for IDUN - Frontline Survival, a newly released title from Surefire.Games.

Even though it only launched on 20 January, it’s been praised for delivering a “fresh perspective on tower defence” titles.

We could go on and continue listing each of the 29 freebies, but that wouldn’t just be boring for us, it would be for you also.

Therefore, we’ll end with one final suggestion: Shadow Tactics.

One fan was so blown away by its “immersive” gameplay that they said, “Never have I played such a wonderful game in over a decade!”

As previously stated, the demos will remain free once the next 48 hours are up. However, the discounts that make the games all the more tempting to play will be, meaning your time is short if you want to bag a bargain.
