In a surprising move, Ubisoft has retroactively added Steam achievements to Far Cry 4 giving it a bit of a comeback for those who have previously played it.
Likely because the game was only supported by Ubisoft’s own client, the publisher is now adding achievements to the games on Steam that once existed only on Ubisoft Connect.
Far Cry 4 is getting a new lease of life on Steam.
Fans are, understandably, very happy with this update as it gives them something new to hunt for while replaying the game.

Far Cry 4 has always been a fan-favourite, and this makes it even better.
The fourth entry in the best-selling series featured Troy Baker as the villain in one of his stand-out roles.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, “You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.”
When fans found out via Reddit, they jumped in to celebrate.

“Fun to get them all to pop after starting up the game. They added Assassin's Creed Syndicate recently as well,” comments justachange.
It does seem that if you’ve already finished the game, any tasks you’ve completed attached to achievements will make them unlock as soon as you next start the game.
“Amazing. A reason to go back to this beauty. Downloading it right now,” said Raoull-Duke, who followed up with, “Heart broken. It added like 40 achievements as soon as I loaded the game.”
Of course, now users are hoping that Ubisoft starts work on their other titles via Steam.

“Now Watch Dogs series, please,” begs AlexanderSnaK.
Another Redditor chimed in to say, “Good. Now add for Far Cry Primal.”
Hopefully, the other games in the catalogue get the same update.
Another user points out a classic that Ubisoft should look at next, “Far Cry 2, hopefully they remove the multiplayer ones for 2 if they do put the achievements into that.”
