Steam users can play Far Cry 6 for free as part of a limited-time offer, though you’ve got a few days to do it.
If you’re a fan of first-person shooters, Steam has some excellent deals for you at the moment as the FPS Fest is currently underway.

As part of the festivities a wide variety of stunning FPS games are on sale, with some huge discounts to take advantage of, but the sweetest deal of all is basically all of them come with a free demo to try before you buy.

One of these games is Far Cry 6, Ubisoft’s latest open-world shooter starring the incredible Giancarlo Esposito as the main antagonist, who gives a stellar performance as always.
The demo will give you a tour of the fictional island of Yala, as well as a taste of the action as you decimate the dictator’s forces and meet a few friendly faces along the way.
It’s not just Far Cry 6 that’s on offer at the moment either, as if you’re more of a spooks and scares type of gamer you’ll definitely want to give Resident Evil 8 a go.
Resident Evil 8 continues the story of Ethan from the previous game, but dials up the ridiculous to 11 for a good mix of horror and comedy.

However, the one I really want to recommend is ULTRAKILL, one of the best first-person shooters I’ve played in a long time, with ludicrously fast-paced action, a stunning art style and plenty of replay value.
There’s plenty more where that came from too, so if you primarily play on Steam don’t hesitate to check out the FPS offering and try before you buy with the long list of demos available.
