Finally, a long-awaited feature has come to Far Cry 4 and fans are understandably happy.
Released in 2014 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, Far Cry 4 is one of the most beloved entries in the Ubisoft series and stars Troy Baker in the leading role as the villainous antagonist, Pagan Min.

“Hidden in the towering Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Travelling to Kyrat to fulfil your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min,” reads the description of Far Cry 4.

On the aggregate website Metacritic, Far Cry 4 earned a very respectable score of 85, suggesting why it’s considered to be one of the best entries in the series but at least for PC gamers, it has been missing one big feature. That was until now.
A free update has recently gone live for Far Cry 4 on PC and it finally introduces Steam achievements. There were already Far Cry 4 achievements on PC via Ubisoft Connect but this Steam update is long overdue.
If you link your Steam account to Ubisoft Connect, all previously earned achievements will automatically sync. “Whether you’re liberating outposts, soaring through the skies in a gyrocopter, or facing Pagan Min’s tyranny, it’s time to showcase your accomplishments on Steam,” reads a blog post.
“Amazing. A reason to go back to this beauty. I’m downloading it right now,” announced Reddit user Raoull-Duke with muzaffer22 adding, “Finally.”

“It was fun to see them all pop after starting up the game. They added Assassin's Creed Syndicate recently as well,” replied justachange.
What’s more, in the blog post announcing the Far Cry 4 Steam achievements, it was also revealed that Far Cry 3 is the next game to be treated to this luxury.
Hopefully, this means that all other games in the series that do not currently have Steam achievements will benefit from this rewards system in the coming months.
