I keep forgetting just how many incredible games have come out this year. Fair to say, we have been spoiled for choice in 2023 - and with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Alan Wake 2, Persona 5 Tactica, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora still to come, the fun isn’t going to end anytime soon.
If you cast your minds back to June, we were treated to the excellent Diablo IV. The game made more money for Activision Blizzard in one week than Diablo Immortal did in an entire year. In fact, it hit the very apt sales milestone of $666 million in just five days. Lilith would be proud. It’s Blizzard’s fastest selling game to date, and a number of highly-requested updates have been made in the months since release. It’s no surprise then that Diablo V is already being teased but ahead of that, Diablo IV is coming to Steam.
Take a look at Diablo IV in action below.
That’s right. Those of you who have been waiting for Diablo IV to land on Steam will not have to wait much longer. The popular RPG will land on the Steam storefront on 17 October. Thankfully, Diablo IV supports crossplay so you’ll be able to team up with your friends on Xbox, PlayStation and Battle.net - plus the game’s arrival on Steam times up nicely with the beginning of the new Season of Blood. Spooky.
Advert
Season of Blood is Diablo IV’s second season. The first season didn’t go down all that well after devs nerfed a bunch of classes but after much outcry from fans, that decision was rectified in a later patch. Season of Blood will play host to 90 tiers, with 27 of these being free tiers and 63 being premium offerings. It goes without saying that you’ll need to purchase the battle pass to unlock those premium tiers.
The season’s new questline will introduce you to some ‘deadly blood-driven enemies’, plus if you’ve already completed the main campaign, you’ll be able to skip ahead following the Missing Pieces quest from the prologue, allowing you to dive straight into the new Season of Blood content. What more could you want?
