Do you ever feel like stealth-action games are finally getting a bit of a resurgence? Because it certainly looks that way to me, and one of the latest games on the scene looks like a perfect blend of Cyberpunk 2077 and Metal Gear Solid. Oh, and you can play it for free.
Yep, stealth-action is definitely back like it hasn't been for years. Assassin's Creed crept back to its sneaky roots last year, we're getting a Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake, and even espionage king Hideo Kojima has announced he intends to release a new stealth game - though we probably won't see that for years.
If stealth is your jam, then you definitely need to check out this standout Steam Next Fest free demo while you can. It's called Raw Metal, and it looks like Cyberpunk 2077 had a baby with Metal Gear Solid then raised that baby in the ways of the roguelike.

"Infiltrate the depths of an exoplanet mining facility to scavenge for gear and challenge a corrupt megacorporation," reads the game's Steam description. "Utilize gadgets and equipment in high-stakes stealth, and hone your fighting skills in breakneck combat in this stylish stealth-action dungeon crawler."
Honestly, this isn't a game that was on my radar till now, but I'm thrilled to have stumbled across it. Properly tense stealth is few and far between in the modern gaming landscape, but Raw Metal looks poised to combine the best of the genre with dungeon crawling elements to create something truly original.
Raw Metal is slated to release on Steam 19 March, so you don't have long until you can play the whole thing. But I'd absolutely urge you to check out the demo while you still can. Steam Next Fest runs until 12 February, so you've the whole weekend to take a look at Raw Metal if you reckon it's up your street.
