Assassin’s Creed Rogue is not one of the most popular Assassin’s Creed titles by any means, but this recent update may just bring players back in their droves.
Released in 2014, Assassin’s Creed Rogue is the seventh major instalment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise and is set before and during the French and Indian War from 1752 to 1760.

As a result, Rogue received mixed reviews at launch, with players unhappy to play as the enemy rather than the Assassin Order they had grown to love.
Despite its history, it seems as though Steam is eager to bring Assassin’s Creed Rogue back to the forefront by finally adding achievements to the game.
“Side with the Templar Order as Steam Achievements are now available for Assassin’s Creed Rogue,” the blog post reads.
“Complete challenges and unlock achievements while experiencing Shay's fate to leave the Assassin Brotherhood. Tempt your principals, and join the Templar Order whether you're a completionist or casually!”

If you have played Assassin’s Creed Rogue on Steam previously, achievements will automatically be rewarded but otherwise, it is time to get earning.
There are now 46 achievements to earn such as standard story trophies as well as some extra challenges.
This includes harpooning a narwhal, hitting five enemies with a Berserk Grenade, freeing 300 British prisoners of war, capturing all settlements, collecting all Animus fragments, and more.
Achievement-hunting on Assassin's Creed Rogue comes at the perfect time with Assassin’s Creed Shadows finally launching on 20 March.
Advert
Despite the controversy surrounding it at every turn, players will still be flocking to the brand-new Assassin’s Creed entry which will take them to 16th-century Japan.
