When Star Wars Battlefront II launched in 2017, it failed to live up to the expectations of the fandom.
Even though many praised its multiplayer gameplay, the microtransactions that were included soured the game immeasurably.
Although updates have come out since then that have helped improve the title, many Star Wars fans still feel underwhelmed by Star Wars Battlefront II.

Thankfully, the modding community has stepped up to the plate in spectacular fashion.
‘Kyber V2’ is a fan-made mod that’s been years in the making, designed to breathe new life into the game via “community-led servers and blazingly fast mod loading”.
Described as ushering in a “new era of content and experiences”, this massive new release will introduce 22 new heroes, as well as 66 new blasters, as per TweakTown.

In addition to this, there are also new maps to explore, new skins, and “daytime map variants”.

Arguably, all of this would mean little without the inclusion of a dedicated server that promises “uninterrupted 24/7 uptime and stability”.
Another string to this expansion’s bow is the proximity chat, which creates a more immersive environment while you play.
But the biggest changes are still being made.
Currently, ‘Kyber V2’ is holding a beta playtest to try to iron out any last-minute bugs because the final version of the project can launch in full.

Thousands of gamers are already helping the devs with this playtest, however, there’s still time to join if you’re interested.
Having already missed its initial release window of 2024, when ‘Kyber V2’ will be ready is unclear.
That being said, fans appreciate the devs taking their time and going to all this trouble to create the Battlefront II experience of their dreams.
We can’t wait to see the end product – it’s already exceeding expectations, so we’re expecting only good things moving forward.
