Resident Evil fans have been blown away by this incredible remaster mod that can be added to multiple games!
The Resident Evil games almost always look fantastic regardless of what system you’re playing on, and even some of the originals on PlayStation 1 still have the charm.

While the ninth game in the series is reportedly on the way, many fans have been revisiting some of the other titles, including the stunning remakes of the first four games.

Now if you’re playing on PC, not only can you seriously crank the performance of these games provided you’ve got the right hardware, you can also enhance them further using the latest modding tools.
One such mod is one that’ll unlock Path Tracing for Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8.
The mod was shown off through a Reddit thread by JoHien, who provides a quick tutorial on where to find the mod and how to apply it to your game, as well as break down the gorgeous effects it unlocks.
You can see the results for yourself with some before and after pictures, showing of some of the games’ most iconic locations beautifully illuminated with path tracing, which does wonders for the spooky atmosphere they try to convey.

Fans were floored by the changes, many of which commented on how much better the games look as a result.
One fan said they hope these kinds of graphics “become the standard in all games,” before going on to call path tracing a “miracle.”
Another fan said “The difference it makes to Jill in the underground & Surveillance room is amazing.”
