Arthur Morgan, the beloved protagonist of Red Dead Redemption 2, is set to return as your American history teacher via an audiobook voiced by Roger Clark.
When it comes to compelling characters in video games it’s hard to not place Arthur Morgan in the top ten. Characters like Ezio from Assassin’s Creed or Geralt from The Witcher can be found on that list too but the charming protagonist of Red Dead Redemption 2 arguably ranks higher.

Arthur is simply a fantastic character, who the player deeply connects with over the course of the game which culminates in an emotional farewell that still has gamers sobbing over the controllers/keyboards to this very day.

While it’s unlikely he’ll be returning in Red Dead Redemption 3, unless the game acts as another prequel or features flashback scenes, Arthur does live on through other media, an audiobook about the Red Dead Redemption games and the history they’re based on.
Actor Roger Clark will lend his voice to Tore Olsson’s Red Dead’s History. The description of the book reads: “Weaving together the fictional characters and plot of the Red Dead Redemption games with real-life historical vignettes, Olsson reveals that the action-packed violence of the Red Dead universe isn’t just spawned from Hollywood westerns but rooted in real sociopolitical issues from turn-of-the-century America.”
Roger Clark will voice the audiobook in character as Arthur Morgan, so the man, the myth, and the legend will be teaching us all about the world of the game and the history that inspired it, as if he was still with us.
The audiobook version of Red Dead’s History will go on sale on 6 August later this year, and will be available on Audible, Apple Books, and other online vendors, and may be the last time we hear the soothing voice of Mr Morgan.
