PlayStation Plus members have been hit by another price hike, and fans are struggling to see the extra value added.
This isn't the first time in recent years that the service has been hit by big pricing adjustments. The last major one occurred in 2023, which saw annual prices rise as much as $20 in certain regions.
With everything getting more expensive at the moment, including the price of video games, people's wallets are simply bearing the brunt of the economy right now.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is one title reviewing well on PlayStation Plus.
Last week, PlayStation Plus subscribers in certain regions were hit with an email from Sony confirming a price increase.
"The price for your current PlayStation Plus Essential 12 month subscription will be increased to CAD 109.99," one Reddit user based in Canada received in their inbox.

"This price adjustment will enable us to continue bringing high-quality games and benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service."
Other users added that they felt the increase was unjustified due to the quality of the service.

"They’ve literally added nothing of actual value in years at this point," one user wrote. "I don’t see how they can possibly justify a price increase."
Of course, this entirely depends on how much you've enjoyed the games Sony has recently added to PlayStation Plus.
New games like Lost Records: Bloom & Rage and Blue Prince have been received well by fans, and subscribers have been able to play them at no extra cost.
"We are (the rest of the world) subsidizing US prices. As Sony doesn't want to hike the prices there because it's their most important market, which is bulls*** for the rest of us," another user wrote.

"This is why I pray for an unlikely Microsoft comeback in terms of hardware," a third user wrote. "Sony resting on its laurels and the Switch being seen as a sort of supplementary handheld and bro competition has really screwed over everyone."
With the news that PlayStation consoles are going up in price, as well as games potentially costing as much as $80-100 in the future, we reckon now would be a good time to chip away at that everlasting backlog you've accrued over the years.
Still, we bet the users who stacked up years of PlayStation Plus on their accounts for a much cheaper price are probably feeling vindicated right now.
