PlayStation Plus price cut leaves fans baffled

PlayStation Plus price cut leaves fans baffled

What does this mean?

As useful as PlayStation Plus is, paying monthly (or yearly) for a subscription can be a bit of a big ask in today’s climate.

However, it appears as though some members are in luck as some users have reported a mysterious price cut on the PlayStation Plus store.

Dino Crisis is one title available on PlayStation Plus this month. Check out its trailer below!

As we already know, the PS Plus subscription service gives PS4 and PS5 users the chance to access a large library of games at no extra cost each month.

Not only that but it regularly gives access to day-one titles and Sony will release a handful of brand-new titles to the service each month.

For example, October releases included Dead Space, WWE 2K24, Doki Doki Literature club, and Dino Crisis.

However, as with any subscription service, users have to pay a monthly or annual fee and with prices steadily rising, this can be a big ask.

That being said, one user over on r/PlayStationPlus has shared an interesting offer that allows users to save 20% on PS Plus between 8-22 October.

However, there are seemingly some issues.

“From October 8 - October 22, any PlayStation Plus is 20% off at the PlayStation Store (by invite only?). But when I go to check out, the price remains the original retail price. What am I doing wrong?” The original post read.

As mentioned, this offer is seemingly by invite only but it is unclear who is eligible to send invites in the first place.

Not only that but many people (including me) cannot see this offer at all.

It appears that the offer is so limited that most people cannot access it at all.

“I got this offer before too,” one comment read.

“It just means 20% off if you upgrade your plan from Extra to Premium, or essential to vice versa.

It's very bait, just trying to trick you.”

It is worth checking to see if this offer applies to you but with so many loopholes, it is perhaps not worth it at all.
