We’ve only just received the PlayStation Plus Extra games for April, yet the first title for May has already been confirmed.
In case you missed it, the remaining PlayStation Plus games for April dropped yesterday; 16 more adventures for gamers to jump into. Some are dubbing it “one of the best months ever” for the service.
But many have already got their eyes fixed on May’s PS Plus line-up, especially now the first game has been announced.

Coming on 9 May is Animal Well, a new 2D platformer that some are convinced will become a “cult classic”.
“Hatch from your flower and spelunk through the beautiful and sometimes haunting world of Animal Well, a pixelated wonder rendered in intricate audio and visual detail,” the Steam description reads.

“Encounter lively creatures small and large, helpful and ominous as you discover unconventional upgrades and unravel the well’s secrets. This is a truly unique experience that can make you laugh in fear, surprise, or delight.”
It sounds wonderfully “odd”, though it may not be to everyone’s tastes.

Of course, there’ll be plenty of other free games joining PlayStation next month; we simply don’t know what they’ll be... yet.

In the meantime, however, there’s Stray Blade, Dave the Diver, and Construction Simulator to be getting on with (to name only a few). Not to colour anyone’s opinions, but if you’re on the fence about Dave the Diver – take that leap of faith.
Fans are already convinced May PS Plus is off to a bad start – and maybe it is – but until we have the full list of games, all we can do is speculate. We do it all so well now.
Remember to check back to read all about May’s PS Plus drop. And for those already deep diving into the latest freebies: we hope you have a world of fun!
