PlayStation Plus free games lineup for October is off to a grim start

PlayStation Plus free games lineup for October is off to a grim start

Sad news for subscribers

With October fast approaching, PlayStation Plus subscribers are set to be quite unhappy as multiple big titles will be leaving the service in just a few weeks.

There is no denying that being subscribed to PlayStation Plus allows PS owners to access games for a whole lot cheaper, especially with new titles being added each month.

The Evil Within is one title getting the axe next month!

However, to add, Sony must first take away and that is why twelve titles will be leaving the service on 15 October.

Although this will hopefully mean that some amazing games will be arriving soon, it is still unfortunate to see the following games leave:

Ultra Street Fighter IV

Gotham Knights

Little Big Planet 3

Dragon Quest XI

Dragon Quest Builders

Dragon Quest Builders 2

Dragon Quest Heroes

Dragon Quest Heroes 2

Toukiden: Kiwami

The Evil Within

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Explorer's Edition

R-Type Dimensions

As you can see, the Dragon Quest series is set to be affected the most but some much-loved titles such as The Evil Within and Sony’s own Little Big Planet 3 are seemingly getting the chop too.

As a result, fans have taken to r/PlayStationPlus to share their frustration.

“Why in the world is a first party game leaving? Is Sony missing out on sales of a....checks...decade old game?” One comment asked.

Another said: “Kind of putting me off PS Plus. I’ve only had it for 3 months and don’t have a TON of time to play, but enough that I thought it would be worth it…

There’s a ton of great stuff but now I’m hesitant to start anything on PS Plus rather than just grabbing games on sale.”

However, it is not all doom and gloom as Sony have just announced thirteen free games subscribers can download and enjoy this September.
