PlayStation Plus free game is maybe the PS5's most gorgeous release to date

PlayStation Plus subscribers shouldn't miss this gorgeous free game

If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber in search of something new to play, I can't recommend this absolutely stunning adventure game enough. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's the best looking game on PlayStation 5 to date.

The PlayStation 5 is now three years old, and it's fair to say we've seen some gorgeous games release on the hardware. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an absolute technological, well, marvel. Then there's Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, also by Insomniac Games, and frankly absurdly easy on the eye.

Take a look at our review of the latter below!

One game I feel doesn't get quite enough love for being genuinely, staggeringly beautiful, is Kena: Bridge Of Spirits. Released for PS5 and PS4 back in 2021, it's a love letter to adventure series like The Legend Of Zelda. It is also undeniably delightful to look at.

I'll throw my hands up and admit I'm not the biggest fan of Kena in terms of pure gameplay. I find the puzzle solving, combat, and exploration to be a little stale and pales in comparison to the games it's trying to emulate. It is, however, well worth a look just so you can gaze upon its beauty.

On PS5 especially, Kena: Bridge Of Spirits is packed with charm and vibrant detail, looking for all the world like a playable Pixar movie. It's the kind of game that you'll frequently find yourself stopping just to admire a jaw-dropping view or impressive vista.

The good news is that Kena: Bridge Of Spirits is currently free to subscribers on PlayStation Plus Extra, meaning if you just wanted to download to see how gorgeous it is and remain unsure about investing in a full playthrough, you're not losing much by simply downloading it to get a feel for it. And there's every chance less cynical gamers than me will have a much better time with it than I did, and that can only be a good thing.
