The monthly selection of PlayStation Plus titles aren’t set in stone, as several users have revealed on Reddit.
Earlier this week, the PlayStation Plus February lineup was announced.
What quickly followed was a lot of gamers taking to social media to complain about the month being another “flop”.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Sony made an announcement that revealed a major change is coming to the service in 2026.
One game that won't be changed is Payday 3
Backlash to this news has subsequently dubbed the subscription a “scam”.

Controversy looks set to continue, this time due to some subscribers being surprised by an alternative free game.
On r/PlayStationPlus, otomennn revealed that instead of High on Life they’ve received Sol Creata in its place.
For context, the OP lives in Malaysia.
If that hasn’t helped you make sense of the matter, as detailed by setya5785, “High on Life is not available at (some) Asia PSN store [sic]. So that's one reason they swap it for other game.”

They added, “Shame really, High on Life is a great and funny game.”
Indonesian based players have also been impacted too.
“Literally all the games I get excited for got replaced [...] Immediately cancelling my yearly subscription just on time for next month,” Nero420 commented.

User becomeuseless said, “Same in Taiwan. Second month in a row we are getting the short end of the stick.”
Usually, a switch like this is due to the region’s laws, an area PlayStation cannot control. Still, while gamers know this deep down, their disappointment and frustration is palpable.
Unfortunately, nothing can be done, other than for those affected to keep their fingers crossed that the next batch of free games will be better. And unaltered.
We’re not sure this next bit of news will soothe the pain of another poor PS Plus offering, but we can but try.

Sony has confirmed that a PS5 highly requested feature is soon to return.
It’s a small but welcome positive, though it’s one that’s unlikely to remove the bitter aftertaste Feb’s PS Plus has left behind.
