PlayStation gamers surprised by free PS Plus for 30 months

Some good things happen sometimes

If you’re an unlucky person, you might think that nobody ever wins those competitions you see online.

Opportunities arise from big corporations offering out a prize, and you wonder if anyone actually wins them. Well, one lucky PlayStation fan did end up with lady luck on their side, and others are surprised and shocked.

Sony have been giving away PS+ subscriptions for their 30th anniversary

To celebrate their 30th anniversary, PlayStation ran a giveaway for selected fans to win 30 months of PlayStation Plus.

It turns out that one winner was a Redditor who happily reported that they received a random email from Sony with a redeemable code.

Once they entered the code, they got the 30 months applied to their account.

“Honestly, I'm just happy to know that people actually win these contests,” said PedanticPaladin.

The responses from throughout the thread, while some are laced with light jesting, are congratulatory.

“Man, that must feel real good. Congratulations,” said one user.

30 months of PlayStation Plus amounts to a lot of cash, so that’s a massive win for SpijderMen.

It pays to enter these giveaways, and to check your emails, just in case.

“You lucky son of a gun! Enjoy your prize!” exclaimed Johnnymarvels.

I do love the casual nudges from the community, like this message from in-grey, “That's great that something cool happened to you, but it should have happened to me instead.”

With all the doom and gloom in the world, it shows that nice things are still happening, you just need to take a chance on things.

So, if you see any of these giveaways on social media, just take a couple of minutes to enter, you never know if you’ll be the next winner.

Now this user can take advantage of hundreds of games in the PlayStation Plus catalogue to play and not worry about paying the subscription cost.
