Finally, after years of PlayStation Plus being a thing, we'll finally be able to play PlayStation 2 games as part of our membership.
So far, PlayStation Plus has given gamers access to a wide variety of games depending on their membership plan, with Essential getting a handful of free titles, whereas Extra and Premium get an entire library.
Check out our interview with the cast of Star Wars: The Acolyte below!
If you’re subscribed to PlayStation Plus Premium, you can access PS5, PS4, some PS3 and PS1 games, though the latter two are often cloud-streamed.

Now, it’s PlayStation’s annual Days Of Play event, and several discounts on hardware and software, some of next month’s PlayStation Plus games and several freebies have been announced as part of the festivities.
The most exciting announcement though was PlayStation 2 games finally joining the subscription service, something that was hinted at through leaks beforehand.
The game’s joining the service are Tomb Raider Legend, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.
These will be available from 11 June onwards for all users subscribed to PlayStation Plus Premium.

It’s not a bad line-up, and Sly Cooper is definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already, but three additional games probably isn’t worth the price of Premium… yet.
Hopefully Sony already has some gears turning for what games could be added next, including classics like The Simpsons: Hit & Run, Ape Escape 3, and even some of the PS2 games you can buy outright on the PlayStation Store.
The sky’s the limit, so hopefully we get some great new additions in July to make the upgrade to Premium worth it.
If the inclusion of PlayStation 2 games has tempted you though, you’ll be pleased to hear you can get a discounted membership to PlayStation Plus, for any tier, as part of the Day Of Play event.
