Three fantastic PlayStation 2 games have been revived for PlayStation 5, bringing a whole host of new features with them, and fans couldn’t be happier.
I include myself there as I adore the Sly Cooper series, and both Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves have been added to the PS5 roster.
I don't know how many times I need to write about Sly Cooper before everyone plays them.
This is part of PlayStation’s recent attempts to rerelease older games for the most recent hardware, featuring trophies and remastered visuals.

A third game is also available, as I mentioned, and it’s another 3D platforming banger in the form of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.
“Thanks for the news bro, I'm downloading SLY2/3 right now,” said one PlayStation fan over on Reddit.
Another chimed in excitedly, saying, “Aw yea time to plat Sly 2 and 3 for a third time. Those were my childhood.”
You can buy any of the three games, or they’re available as part of PlayStation Plus Premium.

I’ve sung the praises of Sly Cooper so many times it’s ridiculous.
Those games weren’t as popular as other 3D platformers in the UK, yet they managed to become my favourites because of the characters and the stealthy heists.
They hold up really well today, too, so if you’re intrigued by any of them, this is the best way to play.
Plus, even if you’ve played before, you’ll be unlocking new trophies according to this Redditor who says, “The trophies are different from the previous release, two new sets of trophies (PS4 & PS5).”

This Reddit user knows what’s up, “I really liked Sly even though I am not a platformer guy.” You get a gold star today.
There’s not as much love on the old message board for Jak and Daxter, but that’s a proper gem too.
Gosh, the whole PS2 era of platformers just hit different. Maybe that’s why Astro Bot was so good, it really evoked those feelings.
