If you’re a fan of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, PlayStation is where you want to be as you can play just about the entire series on the cheap.
Because everything needs a subscription service now apparently, Ubisoft is offering almost its entire library of games for a membership to Ubisoft+, now available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms.
This allows you to play a huge back-catalogue of games from the Assassin’s Creed series, like Assassin’s Creed Mirage, in addition to other IPs.

The service is updated fairly regularly with new additions, maily newer Ubisoft releases that have been out for an allotted time, so you can expect Skull & Bones to sail into the service sometime soon.
This is also an entirely separate membership to PlayStation Plus, meaning you can play the entire Assassin’s Creed franchise as well as dip your toe into other Ubisoft IPs without having to subscribe to Sony’s service instead.

That being said you might be better paying a little bit more and getting PlayStation Plus Extra.
If you do that you’ll have access to the entire PlayStation Extra game catalogue, as well as what’s included in Ubisoft+ at no additional cost so value-wise it makes more sense to do that instead.
You could even bump your membership up to the Premium version, which nets you all of the above plus access to some classic games and cloud-streaming if that’s your cup of tea.
The next Assassin’s Creed game due for release is Assassin’s Creed Red, which will take the series to Feudal Japan in another open world adventure. Details have leaked online hinting at what we could expect from the story and gameplay, and it sounds fantastic.

Unfortunately we’re yet to see official gameplay, and we also haven’t received a release date, though it is scheduled to release sometime this year provided there are no delays.
