A new demo just dropped on the PlayStation 5, and Dark Souls fans will definitely want to check out what's on offer.
Deathbound, described as a "one-of-a-kind party-based soulslike", is the first game from the Brazilian developer Trialforge Studio and is set to release on the PS5, Steam and Xbox Series consoles.
The game did receive some hype on Twitter recently when the developer revealed gameplay footage of one of its characters using the capoeira fighting style to combat an enemy.

The influence behind this fighting style comes from the developer themselves, who were keen to represent their country in-game. As stated in the PS5's listing for the demo: "From the Afro-Brazilian martial art of capoeira to the sweeping music cascading through Akratya, Trialforge’s origins shine throughout every aspect of Deathbound."
Deathbound is set to fully release on the PS5 on the 8th of August next month, so players that are on the fence about purchasing it will at least have the chance to try it out before it launches properly.
A demo for the game was also previously released on Steam too, so PC players can also give it a go beforehand. I've got a bit of bad news for Xbox owners though, as developer Trialforge Studio announced that no demo for the title is currently set to release on any Xbox console.
In reply to a comment, the official Deathbound Twitter account stated "Unfortunately it was not possible to release the demo on Xbox consoles, we are sorry about that".

Xbox players will simply have to settle for watching some gameplay footage from the demo on either Steam or PS5 until the game fully releases.
Alternatively (if you truly are desperate to know more) I would recommend you take a look at Iron Pineapple's gameplay for Deathbound, which he featured in his "Souls-Like Games You've Never Heard Of" series back in May.
