Dark Souls fans reckon Dark Souls IV could still be on the table, personally I doubt it but never say never right?
What we do know for sure is FromSoftware isn’t done with singleplayer-focused titles, something I’m sure many fans will be pleased to hear following the news that the studio’s upcoming soulsborne title will be all about the multiplayer again.
Check out the trailer for The Duskbloods below, a game which caught us all by surprise when it was announced
It’s the second multiplayer-focused game FromSoftware has provided its fans, the first of which being Elden Ring: Nightreign which comes out later this year.

With The Duskbloods also having multiplayer gamers in mind many were concerned that’ll be all the studio wants to do for the foreseeable future, but in an interview with FromSoftware’s own Hidetaka Miyazaki this was confirmed to not be the case.
The interview comes from Nintendo’s Creator Voice, which involved several creators from studios making games for the Nintendo Switch 2.
During the interview for The Duskbloods Miyazaki said “As I mentioned, this is a title based on online multiplayer, but this doesn't mean that we will be taking a major turn in that direction in the future.”
He continued “The Switch 2 version of Elden Ring was also announced, but we

intend to continue to actively create single-player games, which is our traditional approach.
Let me make that point clear here.”
It was good news for fans, though many are reluctant to try The Duskbloods because it’s such a deviation from previous work.
“I'm not going to say I'll skip it, but it's not a game I'm eagerly looking forward to, similar to Nightreign” read one fan's belief, with another adding “My hype for Duskbloods went up and down pretty quickly from announcement to details. I'll probably still give it a shot though.”

We’ve got a long wait ahead of us until The Duskbloods launches anyway, as it’s not scheduled to release until some time in 2026.
