Our PlayStation 5 consoles are loaded up with tons of handy features, many of which the vast majority of us aren’t taking advantage of.
For example, did you know that you can pre-set your difficulty and graphics mode preferences, speeding up the process for when you start a new game?
There are a couple of settings you can adjust to boost your console’s graphical output too plus a recent system update quietly rid the console of one of its most annoying issues.

It really is worth browsing your console’s settings page, as dull as that may sound on paper.
It’s a treasure trove of handy features that could really transform your gaming experience.
That being said, there’s still room for improvement.
PlayStation 5 gamers have one grievance with game downloads that while not totally fixed, does have a useful workaround that you should make note of.

It’s not usual for PlayStation 5 users to find that their games have become stuck mid-install, trapped in an endless loop.
Certainly, this doesn’t happen every time but it happens enough.

If that happens to me, my first instinct is to pause the download. Allow it to ‘catch its breath’ in a way, before resuming the download.
I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one to make this move - and yet, that’s seemingly one of the worst moves you can make.
In fact, this usually ends up solidifying an install’s bork indefinitely.
It’s recommended that you instead, delete the installation and restart it. This sounds like the more time consuming option but I assure you, you’ll reach the finish line faster.

It would be nice to see this stability issue addressed.
Likewise, who else grows tired of having to select from the PS4 or PS5 option of a game? It would be pretty great if we could select a preset there too.
But who knows? Another system update could be right around the corner.
