Naughty Dog has something new cooking in the oven and it’s promised to bring “groundbreaking visual quality”, how exciting!
Sony’s Naughty Dog studio is a well-respected developer in the video game industry that’s not only known for creating some of the most immersive stories of our time but a level of visual quality that pushes PlayStation console generations to the limits.
Check out The Last of Us Part II Remastered trailer below!
Whether it’s the Uncharted or The Last of Us series, Naughty Dog knows how to make its stamp on the industry which is why with every release, PlayStation fans' anticipation is through the roof. Unfortunately, there seem to be no signs of a brand new Uncharted game for the PlayStation 5, which would be a damn shame for it to miss this generation (and no, I’m not counting the Legacy of Thieves Collection).

We do know that The Last of Us Part III will arrive at some point, but we don’t know when. It’s possible that The Last of Us Part III could be released on PlayStation 5 but then it could also be a next-gen title.
That being said, this is Naughty Dog we’re talking about here and even if The Last of Us Part III was to release this generation, it’s also a given that there will be some sort of remastered version on PlayStation 6. But does Naughty Dog have something other than the next The Last of Us or Uncharted cooking in the oven?
Some have speculated that Naughty Dog’s next game could be something new and maybe, Naughty Dog has been teasing its new IP for the last decade all along. Whatever the studio's next project will be, it’s now advertising for five vacancies, two of which are for a lead environment concept artist and a senior gameplay animator.
In particular, the position of senior gameplay animator would have the would-be new employee working on the next project that promises “groundbreaking visual quality”. At this time, we can only assume what that project will be and when it will arrive.

Yet, given the fact that these positions are only being advertised now, could mean that the new project might be a few years away. That’s unless, of course, a rumoured Uncharted: Drake's Fortune remake is being outsourced to another studio.
In the meantime, we can still enjoy most Uncharted and all The Last of Us entries on modern PlayStation consoles.
