If you're wanting to get caught up on Insomniac's Spider-Man universe we've got some good news for you, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is currently free to download and play for select PlayStation owners.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 arrives 20 October, and so far looks like the sequel fans have yearned for. The original Marvel's Spider-Man was, of course, a masterfully done superhero adventure. Its 2020 follow-up centered around Miles' journey as Spidey is an equally essential part of the story. In other words, if you decided to skip it, this is your chance to rectify that.
Take a look at Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in action below!
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales sees young Miles take the lead as New York's one and only webhead after Peter is forced to leave the city. When a power struggle between warring factions threatens to destroy his new neighbourhood, Miles has to step up and learn what it means to be Spider-Man.

If you missed out back in 2020 then you really missed out. Miles Morales isn't quite as long as its predecessor, but it is absolutely an essential sequel that picks up a lot of story threads from the first game. And given Miles and his friends are going to be a huge part of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, you owe it to yourself to get caught up on where he's been - and how he got that awesome costume.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is currently free for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, so don't waste another second. Oh, and it's currently unconfirmed, but we'd be amazed if Marvel's Spider-Man wasn't one of the free PlayStation Plus games for October. Watch this space.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will hit the PlayStation 5 - and only PlayStation 5 - on 20 October.
