I think we can safely say with some certainty that not every suit in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a good suit. There are some absolute bangers in there, of course. I adore the Amazing Spider-Man 2 spandex, and Miles Morales' classic threads are impossible to get wrong.
Alas, there is one suit in the PlayStation exclusive that is almost universally despised. Worse still, it's the suit that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 forces Miles into for the endgame. It's not a huge spoiler to reveal that Miles goes into the final showdown with Venom wearing a new costume.
This costume is, I hate to say it, absolutely awful. It's ugly, universally hated, and doesn't compare to Miles' excellent classic duds. To add insult to injury, it turns out this suit is actually an Adidas collab, implying Insomniac were probably forced to include it as some kind of marketing nonsense.

Why am I telling you this? Because it's all important context to understand why fans are so annoyed by the new free download for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Announced by PlayStation on Twitter, anyone who finishes the game's excellent story will be rewarded with a free download for... a special adidas shoe digital collectible. Yes, the same shoe that clearly spawned Miles' god-awful endgame suit, just to rub salt in the wound. Needless to say, fans aren't best pleased.
"Hope you paid the developers a decent portion of that ad money you definitely got from Adidas," wrote one user on Twitter.
Another added: "An ad as a collectible? Really?"

As far as incentives for beating Marvel's Spider-Man 2 go, I'd say dangling a shoe advert in front of fans is up there with promising to show players pictures of Wilson Fisk's colonoscopy.
Of course it's worth noting that the best incentive to beat the game is to simply see the end of one of the best Spider-Man stories in years. Even if poor Miles' suit is straight trash.
