The city is only just recovering from Venom’s destruction, yet Spidey is back with yet more escapades for us to swing into – we just hope they’re not going to cost us another loved one in the process.
Having wowed gamers at the end of last year – even if the Game Awards 2023 didn’t recognise that – fans have been waiting for Miles to return (perhaps with Peter in tow). Given how quietly the game landed on PC, we were wondering if we’d miss any DLC announcements as well.
Fortunately, that’s not been the case. Insomniac Games made a big splash on social media to reveal that March will be the month we receive an abundance of Spidey DLC; from New Game+ to fresh new suits, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is back.

As fans countdown the day to 7 March, we’re more concerned with how we’re going to fit all this gaming in – new Spider-Man DLC, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be out and taking over our lives, and another playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 is imminent (maybe the last one is just me). What we’re saying is, 2024 is treating us right very early on.
What we’re most interested in now is whether “this update will create carnage”, as suggested by one fan who’s hoping for story expansions. Admittedly, an update without more story wouldn’t be as exciting, and seeing as Insomniac has said the “and more” line when discussing all the game’s features, we’re hopeful that more than an outfit change is on the cards.
You really need to play Marvel's Spider-Man 2 if you haven't already, especially now DLC is coming
After the mixed reception Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has received, plenty of gamers are longing for a superhero game with a bit more substance. Seeing how this allowed the Arkhamverse to have its last breath, it’s a shame it wasn’t more satisfying.

Maybe Spidey will swing in and save the day…? We’ll have to wait until 7 March to find out.
