It’s fair to say that 2023 was a stacked year for quality video game releases, so stacked in fact that it was difficult for some of the best to stand out from the crowd such as the Dead Space remake, and Super Mario. Bros Wonder, Final Fantasy XVI and more.
We were also blessed with the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to name a few. One other game that was a critical and commercial success in 2023 was Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games.

In our review of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we said: “This is an amazing fantasy come to life and realised like never before. Insomniac Games has crafted yet another heartfelt Spider-Man story bursting with twists, turns, and show-stopping spectacle.”

Other than being fantastic games, one of the best things about 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was the wealth of in-game suits that can be unlocked via progression. What’s more, post-launch, including the Marvel’s Spider-Man PS5 remaster, Insomniac Games blessed us with even more free Spidey suits via DLC.
So fans were pleased to find out that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been no exception, having already benefited from free DLC since its launch last year. Now, players can look forward to claiming eight more suits in the sequel, four each for Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

Four of the suits are totally new to the series and created by guest designers, while the other four will be returning from Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, two of which are inspired by the 2018 animated movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The eight free suits will be available on Tuesday, 18 June via a free update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5. On that date, if you have activated automatic downloads for updates during sleep mode, the new content should be good to go when you fire up the game.
