It’s fair to say that the anticipation for the third instalment of The Last of Us is through the roof and it seems that an announcement could be on the way soon.
The Last of Us was originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2013 and I can remember the first time I ever played it when it was included as a playable demo with God of War Ascension from that moment on, the series had me hooked and so too for millions of other fans.

Since 2013, The Last of Us series has not only been one of developer Naughty Dog's most important properties but also as an exclusive for Sony PlayStation, benefiting from remasters, a remake and now an upcoming sequel.

Sony hasn't formally announced The Last of Us Part III, but Naughty Dog co-president Neill Druckmann has recently teased us that it’s on the way. Whether it's for the PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 6, remains to be seen.
However, in a recent job listing that appeared on Acting Access (thanks Reddit via DanielRPK), there has been a casting call for white males between the ages of 40 to 60, and white females aged between 20 and 60.
Video game news outlet MP1st also shared what are reportedly official concept images which fit the description of the job listing set by PlayStation Studios casting and talent manager, Jamie Bafus.
The job listing also states that the role would be for a mature action-adventure game, with intense violence and profanity, and some believe that it could be related to The Last of Us Part III.

It certainly doesn't seem to fit the description for an Uncharted game nor do the leaked concept images appear to be related to God of War, so maybe there is some truth behind the speculation that Sony is gearing up to announce The Last of Us Part III soon.
