Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 may only have released a couple of days ago, but I bet a ton of you have already rolled credits on Pete and Miles’ latest spectacular adventure.
It doesn’t take long for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to draw you in. In my opinion, it has the best opening hour that you’ll play this year. The game’s incredible traversal has garnered players’ praise - even if that does mean we’re all ignoring the rapid fast travel option. In our review, GAMINGbible’s Ewan said, ““This is an amazing fantasy come to life and realised like never before. Insomniac Games has crafted yet another heartfelt Spider-Man story bursting with twists, turns, and show-stopping spectacle.” Many players are now hailing the series as one of gaming’s greatest trilogies.
Take a look at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in action below.
It’s an odd one because, yes, Marvel’s Spider-Man is a trilogy consisting of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. It looks as if Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is on the way though, which begs the question: Would that replace Miles in the trilogy line-up? What would Miles be classed as? Would it simply become a tetralogy? It awaits to be seen.

Back to the point though, Reddit user Xiaowen_99 kicked off the conversation, saying that the trilogy is made up of the “best games for the PlayStation 4 and 5 eras,” garnering a whopping 3.3K upvotes at the time of writing. User resitor added, “It's finally a series that honours a good superhero on a top notch level. This is how you do good games in general. This is why I play PlayStation.”
Speaking specifically about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, casperdracrook wrote, “I’m pretty sure I’m almost done with it and it literally just does not stop going off the rails crazy the entire time I f**king LOVE it.” I quite agree - and I can’t wait to see what Insomniac cooks up next with Marvel’s Wolverine.
