Marvel's Spider-Man 3 gameplay leak slammed by fans

Marvel's Spider-Man 3 gameplay leak slammed by fans

Fans are not happy

As much as fans want Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, hacking and leaks is not the way to go about it.

However, that is unfortunately what happened earlier this year.

It is hard to believe that it has almost been a full year since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swung onto the PlayStation 5.

Check out a gameplay preview of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 below!

As the highly-anticipated sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, the sequel was met with critical success and even saw itself nominated for Game of the Year.

Telling the story of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they team up to take on some infamous villains such as Kraven and Venom, it wasn’t long before Insomniac Games confirmed another entry.

With fans excited for a third entry, it seems as though some untrustworthy people got ahead of themselves by obtaining early-build images via hacking.

As the images were illegally obtained, we will not share them here but they show very early build screenshots of Spider-Man swinging through a Central Park-esque setting.

It will be a few years until Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is ready to launch and, as a result, these images will look nothing like the final result.

Not only that but fans are understandably annoyed over the leak.

Taking to r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, over 300 users shared their frustration.

“I hope people are able to understand the concept of an early build, the game isn't even in Alpha yet” the highest-rated comment read.

However, some other eagle-eyed fans believe the leak to be showing our first look at Silk.

For those who don’t know, Silk, real name Cindy Moon, is a Korean-American student who was also bitten by the radioactive spider that gave Peter his abilities.

Featuring in the Spider-Man comics, this will be the first time we see her in the Insomniac games. If the leaks are true, at least.

Either way, with no confirmation from Insomniac Games and these images obtained via hacking, it is worth taking all of this news with a pinch of salt.
