God Of War Ragnarök gets surprise update we've been begging for

Kratos would approve

God of War Ragnarök is about to get a surprise feature in an upcoming update that will not only be met with the approval of fans but also the main man himself, Kratos.

I think it’s fair to say that Kratos never does things the easy way. Sometimes the God of War might want to avoid confrontation, at least post-2018, but the inevitable usually happens and before long, Kratos is repeatedly punching unfortunate victims in the face.

For many, 2022’s God of War Ragnarök, developed by Santa Monica Studio is one of the best PlayStation exclusives in recent years. God of War Ragnarök offered the perfect blend of fun gameplay, gorgeous visuals and sheer brutality that only Kratos knows how to deliver.

In our review of God of War Ragnarök, we said: “is a fantastically impressive sequel that delivers in every conceivable way. It expands on and improves the formula established in 2018’s God of War hugely, offering up blistering action, gut-wrenching twists, and truly cinematic boss battles with real emotional heft behind them.”

However, if there was one feature that may have annoyed some gamers in God of War Ragnarök it may be the over-excessive puzzle hints. Sure, you can turn hints off but sometimes it’s nice to get a subtle hint if we’re completely stuck.

Sadly, there is no in between as to whether you get lots of hints or only a few. It’s either you have them or you don't. But thankfully, as reported by IGN (via the PS Blog), that is about to change soon.

This new feature will allow you to reduce the amount of puzzle hints you’ll receive from your companions. At the time of writing, this feature is exclusive to the PC version of God of War Ragnarök but it will be arriving on PS5 and PS4 soon via a free update.

God of War Ragnarök is out now on PC and PlayStation.
