PlayStation Plus subscribers have been given some extra days of service on top of their current subscriptions, but not everyone is yet to receive them.
Cast your mind back to a few weeks ago when the PlayStation Network went down for mysterious reasons, prompting many to believe the company’s servers had once again fell victim to a hack.
It meant players couldn’t access their multiplayer games for a startling amount of time, and caused a lot of general uproar.
While no explanation was ever given for the outage, PlayStation users were quick to ask for some sort of compensation for not having access to their usual game libraries.

Now, PlayStation has given PlayStation Plus subscribers an additional five days of service on their subscriptions which isn’t a lot, but it’s something.
Unfortunately, it’s backfired though as while the five days should have supposedly been delivered to you by now, many are reporting online that they’re yet to receive them.
“Nope.. not for me. They are rolling this out, so it's not everyone just yet,” said one PlayStation Plus subscriber in a Reddit thread.
Others would rather be compensated in a different way, like one user who stated, “I really don't want this, it affected my last sub, not my resubbed one. It'll most likely put me outside the range for the next February sale. Why do I run the risk of being penalised when I'm being ‘compensated’?”

Finally one user had a similar problem, saying, “There goes my window to buy PS Plus on the next sale. Have to wait five months now, not even worth it. Wish they gave us a choice to redeem it or not.”
Sounds like this compensation has caused more problems than it has fixed, but hopefully whatever caused the outage in the first place has been fixed and won’t be causing any additional downtime.
