Courtesy of Focus Entertainment, you can win a brand new custom PlayStation 5 console in celebration of the release of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is the latest release from Don’t Nod, following on from the critically acclaimed Jusant. This action-RPG takes players to 1695. Banishers Red and Antea are summoned to the small New England settlement of New Eden by friend Charles Davenport after they’re informed that a terrible curse is plaguing the town. Upon their arrival, they discover that Charles has already met his untimely end. It is up to you to guide Red and Antea through this grisly mystery as they attempt to restore peace to New Eden.

While you don’t have to play Banishers should you win the console, I urge you to nonetheless. It’s already garnered a respectable score of 78 on Metacritic. Scoring the game a nine, GameReactor wrote, “The middling world activities and RPG elements don't detract from the fact that Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a remarkably engaging story to follow. From the first moment you'll be entranced by the tale of Antea and Red and the contract they have been tasked to fulfill,” while Push Square awarded a score of eight, adding, “Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden sees developer DON'T NOD reach a new development peak, as it marries an excellent narrative with engaging and enjoyable gameplay. Poor enemy variety and technical flaws hold it back from true greatness, but its excellent, story-focused side quests on the other side make a few drab combat encounters worth pushing through.”
While GAMINGbible’s own thoughts remain in progress, I can confirm - having already dove into this game - that it’s heaps of fun. While it’s not the most polished game you’ll ever play, it boasts one of the most intriguing narratives I’ve encountered in years.
