Bloodborne Unreal Engine 5 remake looks absolutely stunning

Bloodborne Unreal Engine 5 remake looks absolutely stunning

We need this remake now

Bloodborne is one of the best video games from famed developer FromSoftware and fans have been calling for a modern remake and remaster, a version that is yet to arrive, at least officially.

Considering that FromSoftware has given us bangers such as Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Elden Ring and more, to say that Bloodborne is one of the studio's best games gives us an inkling of the standards set by this developer.

Check out the Bloodborne trailer below!

Bloodborne was originally released in 2015 for PlayStation 4 and nearly a decade later, it still holds up well. From its fun and challenging gameplay loop, the eerie gothic town of Yarnham and its surrounding areas to its epic boss battles, there’s a lot to love about this iconic action RPG.

However, despite how much of a good game Bloodborne is, fans have been calling for a PlayStation 5 remaster or even a free new-gen update that at the very least, will provide a performance of 60 frames-per-second instead of the current 30fps.

Yet, despite pleas from fans, it seems publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment has no desire to remake, remaster or give Bloodborne a free PS5 new-gen update. Well, that’s how it feels from many outside of the Sony bubble.

Thankfully, that hasn't stopped creative indie developers from taking matters into their own hands, such as Reddit user Petitbateau31 who is remaking Bloodborne with Unreal Engine 5.

The Reddit user in question shared a very brief gameplay clip of the Bloodborne fan-made remake and it looks absolutely stunning from what we can see. That being said, fellow Reddit users were quick to warn Petitbateau31 not to share the clip to avoid the potential wrath of the Sony lawyers.

It’s safe to assume that this fan-made Bloodborne remake will not be made public otherwise Sony's wrath will surely be felt. Hopefully, Petitbateau31 continues with this great work but it might be wise to keep it under wraps, just in case.

Bloodborne is out now on PlayStation 4 and is playable via backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 with no enhancements.
