The official PlayStation YouTube channel has just shown off a brand new trailer for an upcoming game, bolstered by the power of Unreal Engine 5... but I think the method they've used to promote the improvements in the trailer is a little underhanded.
Sony has just uploaded a new “Graphics Trailer” for the next game in the Tour de France series, and fans seem impressed by the visual upgrades over in a thread on the r/Games subreddit.
"Nice job on the visual upgrades! It does look great," commented user nistaani.

“Really quite excited to see them moving to a modern graphics engine, as the old one from 2011 was quite dated to say the least,” replied user Ok-Interaction-3788.
However… you guys are seeing what I’m seeing here, right?
Tour de France 2025 does look like a pretty huge visual upgrade when compared to Tour de France 2024, but I don’t think that really means much when the previous game in the franchise looks like a PlayStation 3 title.
I mean, come on, look at this bit at 0:23 in the trailer.

If you want good graphics, I sense Ghost of Yōtei will deliver.
I know good models for crowds are tough to pull off without tanking a game’s framerate, but good lord man. It’s hardly a brag to say you improved upon graphics straight out of 2008.
In comparison, said improvements aren’t actually as impressive as they look on a second glance. It’s pretty easy to make a visual upgrade look incredible when you’re comparing it to something like that.

Anyway, I’m being a touch too negative. Fans seem to enjoy the actual gameplay of Tour de France 2024 at least, so I’m sure they’ll be thrilled with the graphical leap as long as they continue to nail that aspect of the game.
Here’s hoping that’s the case when Tour de France 2025 drops on June 5 later this year.
