This mightily impressive Fallout 4 fan-made expansion not only gives us an extra ending and tons of new content, but it almost looks like a brand-new game in the series.
Alongside The Elder Scrolls series, it’s fair to say that Fallout is one of Bethesda’s most cherished properties with passionate fans never getting enough of all the endless RPG goodness they both have to offer.

Don’t get me wrong, the Fallout series has always been popular, long before Bethesda acquired the property, but since the arrival of Fallout 3 in 2008, the series has arguably grown bigger and better with each new release.

What’s more, with the arrival of the critically acclaimed Fallout live-action series from Amazon, a new legion of fans was introduced in 2024 and now there’s more radioactive, post-apocalyptic content than ever before.
Furthermore, thanks to the talented modding community, additional game content is constantly being created for the titles we love, and Fallout 4 is no exception.
One such expansion is called ‘The Fen’s Sheriff Department’ created by NexusMods creator MunkySpunk and it’s available to download for free right now.
“50 quests, hours of gameplay, a new ending to the vanilla game, full-fledged companion, dozens of voiced NPCs, new armours, locations, patrols, workshop, workshop items, weapons and a brutal new story on what it takes to survive in a post-apocalyptic world,” are just some of the things you'll find in this mod, according to the description.

Judging by the gameplay trailer, ‘The Fen’s Sheriff Department’ looks fantastic but it should be stated that despite Xbox supporting mods via Bethesda’s Creation Club, this content is a PC exclusive.
Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also included with Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost.
